I have included the above to illustrate how David Webb dealt with press mailings at this time; it appears to have been made out on both sides of the paper. Nowadays of course it’s all done by e-mail. At this time, desktop computers were far both less powerful than they are today and an expensive rarity. I suspect that most campaigning organisations, clubs, small businesses, etc, dealt with their mailing lists in similar fashion.

“fantasy films were shown, which sometimes included simulated flagellation. Mr. Little GLC observed that any violence in films could be harmful, Mrs. Cockerell pointed out that if that were the case then all films containing violence, including cowboy films, should be banned, adding that horrific”.
