PokerStars, the world’s largest poker site, will soon be dealing its 85 billionth hand. The person who wins this hand will receive at least $20,000.

December 10, 2011: A freeroll on PokerStars, kings beat aces.

This is a promotion for cash game players only, though currently depositors – including new players – are eligible for a series of special freeroll tournaments. Next month there is also a heavy tournament schedule for those with deep pockets as the site begins its World Championship Of Online Poker. Meanwhile, the site is giving away money on landmark hands all the way to its 100 billionth hand.

Party Poker and its sister site WPT have also got a special promotion going, a series of freerolls with easy qualification. Free money, but not easy money.
