Sincerity’s not difficult to fake,
That is a lesson most painfully learned
Through shattered dreams, experience, heartache,
By constantly having one’s fingers burned.
Sincerity’s not difficult to fake,
The silver-tongued liar so smooth and cool,
The petty official who’s on the take,
The wanton sylph who makes you look a fool.
