Maggie’s Farm

We ain’t gonna work on Maggie’s farm no more.
We ain’t gonna work on Maggie’s farm no more.

The butcher,
The baker,
The candlestick maker,
The teacher,
The preacher,
Reporter,
Exporter,
The miner,
Designer,
The plumber,
The drummer.
Technician,
Beautician,
Musician,
Physician,
The draftsman,
The craftsman,
The writer,
The fighter,
Platelayer,
Soothesayer,
The juggler,
The smuggler,
The coiner,
The joiner,
The knitter,
The fitter...

We ain’t gonna work on Maggie’s farm no more.

But we are:

The stockbroker,
The policeman,
The soldier,
The Customs and Excise man,
The legislator,
The stipendiary,
The judge,
The prison officer,
The social security snooper...

We’re gonna work on Maggie’s farm: forevermore.
