9/11 Truth Loonies Return To UK

A short video by comedian Edward Current in serious mode explaining the non-mysterious collapse of Building 7.

Return is a bit of a strong word because like the rest of the conspiracy crowd, they have never been away, but if you move in certain circles and/or attend certain meetings, especially here in the capital, you may have recently picked up a leaflet that advertises a “dramatised multimedia production supported by Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth”.

Seven Seconds, a play – for want of a better word – is said to take the form of a sort of reverse press conference that focuses on “the still unexplained collapse of WTC Building 7, not hit by a plane and seven hours after the main attack on New York”.

This supposedly unexplained event is every bit as enigmatic as those Sharia-compliant wills that were reported in the mainstream media here recently, in other words it is a totally manufactured story, one that in this instance is being put on by the Random Order Theatre Company at the Etcetera Theatre in North London from April 8-15.

If you really want to know what happened to Building 7 and why it collapsed, rather than waste £15 on this production, you are directed to the video linked above. This was made by comedian Edward Current. Here is another short video of Building 7, this time before the collapse. * The real solution to the non-mystery though is told by the casualty statistics. While the immediate death toll from the 9/11 attacks was around 3,000, the death toll from the collapse of Building 7 was precisely zero. In other words, the people on the ground did a great job evacuating the area. It is clear both from many credible articles and from contemporaneous reports that those involved at the business end realised the building was going to collapse at some point, probably sooner rather than later. It is also clear that unlike the incessantly parroted conspiracy garbage, the prosaic if terrifying truth about that dreadful day does not make good theatre.

* When this article was first published, I linked to a short video of Building 7 pre-collapse. On preparing this page, December 1, 2023, I found that video had been deleted and had not been archived. I am unable to find a similar one, however, there are many longer videos on YouTube that include Building 7. There are also many photographs, and I have no time to pander to such mystical nonsense.
