Tomorrow The World

Today we are paupers,
We own almost nothing,
A bad reputation and fur coat between us,
We’re both of us hungry
Yet dine with Duke Humphrey,
But we’re on the way up:
Tomorrow the world.

There’s just you and me,
But two’s company,
This secret is ours
And nobody else’s,
You’ve trusted me this far,
Now let’s take it further,
Have faith and remember:
Tomorrow the world!
