Below is a letter from the notorious gangster Ronald Kray (1933-95). Call this foolish romanticising if you wish, but at the time I felt they (the Kray Twins) had served enough time; true, they were murderers, but gangsters who kill other gangsters do not generate the same public outrage as most other murderers.
Whatever, he appears to have liked my poem.
