An Offal Thought

To think of how Prometheus was tortured, makes me quiver,
It must be hell to have an eagle feeding off your liver;
The strangest thing here though is not the wickedness of Zeus,
But how the Ancient Greeks knew it reacted to abuse,
For if the human liver has befallen injury
Or somehow suffered damage to a horrible degree,
It can regenerate itself, unlike our other organs...
I wonder if gall stones were caused by men dreaming of Gorgons?
But I digress, the point is we had best revive our view
Of ancient legends and the wisdom our forefathers knew.
